I love the windows outline border color picker. It picks a color from my background picture and it's automatically configured so that it picks a good enough highlight color to stand out against the background, but not enough that it distracts from the window. Is this on linux?

Any implementation of this in Linux wouldn't be good enough for you since it wouldn't be exactly 100% like it is in Windows (including the being on Windows part)

Yes, but

In the end to you that'll just mean "as long as it's Windows" and anything else will magically not fit your "highly objective" criteria.

here? This was unanswered (unless you count using an unmantained fork as an answer)

or maybe using this hacky py script?

Or maybe downloading this and seeing if the options for dynamic-background are actually available?

Maybe even this hobby project?

But doesn't seem like a default, well implemented behaviour like it is on Windows. Are you lying to me, Anon?

The bigger ones get tons of money in donations and fundings. Besides, specialized graphic designers might decide to contribute to projects they themselves use the same way programmers do.

You aren't using this, but I tried all linux music players and none of them can do Folder/Artist/Directory/Song colums, for some reason everyone thinks sorting by genres or just using search is superior. Foobar is the only thing keeping me on windows.

Just using folder structure of genre\artist\album works for me. Some exceptions being an artist doing multiple genres, but that's luckily rare for me. I wonder if you could set up some symlinks to e.g. have a mainly rock artist in the rock folder, but also a link to the artist from the jazz folder if they've done some jazz side-projects. I just split the artists between genres instead, it might be shit, but it works fine.

I'm too lazy to reboot to Linux for a screenshot, but foobar2000 works under Wine. Plug-ins don't, or at least not out of the box, so I don't get Columns UI nor Waveform Seekbar there, but the base functionality and UI customisation are fine.
