For me, it was Win 95 then ME. Basically skipped XP, had Vista briefly on a laptop and then 7. But I've mostly used Linux since the tail end of the Windows 9x days, and then moved on to Macs for my laptop. I have no idea what Windows 8/9/10/11 are even like 2bh.

XP sucks. Windows 7 is the sweet spot. It runs old and new software breddy gud. It looks good. Runs good. While I do own a couple Windows 10 PCs my main PC for getting shit done is Win 7. I have no intention of changing it up to 10. I would never go back to XP.
