Why are you using manjaro if your plan was never updating? Disturbing

I have similar experiences. People here rant about all the constant weird and exotic issued they encounter with DE-s, browsers, whatever, but they almost never happen to me

if you had used debian, you would have had newer packages than a 3 year out of date arch install and you'd retain the same stability.
So like the anon in the first post said, why use a rolling release if you're not gonna update for years anyway?
Unless you use it just so you can say "btw I use arch" then I get it desu

Yeah okay that part is true, I only reflected on the constant weird bugs and crashes people keep mentioning here.
Compared to that anon I actually keep my software up-to-date on my main OS

Nothing, most of the times anons are just joking. I too make fun of KDE users with all the *krashes* stuff but at least in my case, when I tried it, I had no issues at all. Now if we talk about the OS itself I think people tend to break it after improperly managing deps and libraries in non-stable distros. In the case of Debian and similar sometimes they fuck around with the system too much to the point of forgetting how to undo the changes. What I'm saying is, 90% of the time it's just a joke, 9% due to user error and 1% only god knows
