Full sized headphones can be competitive only due to bass tactility, which makes them subjectively better than IEM although frequency response of headphones can be less controlled. But for headphones you need some huge drivers with low THD to properly feel this tactility with your head skin and bones. Moondrop Para first, for example. Treble can be EQ'ed down and sub-bass can be raised to Harman for the pinnacle experience.

We know how to see length modes and how to fix them. But with acoustic impedance their entire shtick is low=good and high=bad, and their metric for low impedance is how well you can hear through pos. when it comes to pos, the market is still pinning consumers down with tuning being a premium,
even though Chu is when we all stopped having to pay for tuning. Olina SE, fwiw, put an already known driver in a new shell, while driving down cost and people still loved it.
drivers that were the most capable 3+ years ago could and should be reused, if available. if we had a market with more of an attitude towards high performance drivers at
ultra budget prices, rather than a market pinning people down on tuning (again, it's free),
we could have a more solid experience, consumer and manufacturers alike, but this is why the space is stalled.

Dollar store looking pos arrived, and it's as bad as I imagined. They're little mud cannons, and there's some echo. They didn't even enter my ears with the included tips, but they're surprisingly comfortable with a triple-flanged dildos.
They feel like they were made with the purest chinesium available, and I wouldn't be surprised if they die by tomorrow.
