Have you ever ordered something, received it, realized it was garbage, then realized that you cant return it since you bought it as a business customer?

At that point your only option is the vendor making an exception for you, which is unlikely.

Any if you had such a case and did you manage to get out of it? Perhaps try to get a partial refund?

Yeah, I got a mattress pad that was clearly offgassing formaldahyde and who knows what else into my nose while I was sleeping.
Fuck chinese junk up the ass. I slept on that for over a year.
Now it just sits in my apartment on the floor folded like a big viscose taco.

Netherlands, if you buy something as a business (like a self employed for example) then you have no consumer protection. Or at least that is what it seems like. Right in the feels

After googling these rules it seems that in my case, being a 1 man business buying something for dual use, I should be able to fall within the consumer protection. So I will try to still maka claim to my rights to return while also being open to pay some compensation kike a 10% return fee or something.

Really hope it will work out. This custom laptop I received today is total garbage

kinda similar situation (Canada)

i signed up for 2 internet service lines for 36 months, one for each building
after a while they were too slow (DSL) and couldn't go faster so i signed up for a third that could cover both sites thinking i could cancel the first two and bridge the buildings.
by the time i got the bridge set up the contract elapsed and i thought i could cancel without penalties but the contract i signed was 36 month automatic renewal FOR 36 MONTHS
so now apparently i owe them them 50% of the remaining time which is about 2000$

i called them before the initial contract was up but they told me i had to e-mail them because it was business and they need a paper trail. by the time i emailed them they renewed both contracts.

the stupid part was i didn't want to cancel them because they were a local business and i wanted to support them.
