I don't think we've seen a time in recent history where the barrier to entry was so low to affect so many industries at the same time.
Anyone bitching and moaning about AI at this point is either brainwashed or incapable of putting their own self-interest first.

The reason most people hate AI is because it was an unexpected development, and it changes their framework of how the world works. AI will certainly have some significant negative effects, but no one can stop it at this point, if someone doesn't develop it someone else will, no matter how much people whine about "tech bros".

Of course hes' all for AI. His company hasn't produced anything of value in decades. Most of their time is spent making hats and other microtransaction items which is perfect for AI. Anytime they actually try to extend beyond their bubble with VR, Consoles, etc they immediately abandon them and it's largely just used as a quick cash grab since their fanbase is rabid retards.

AI has changed my life as a tool for prototyping. That's just what it is though, a good prototype. It's fucking phenomenal at boilerplate tasks. It's saved me significantly more hours than it has cost me.

The heavy lifting still has to be done by you to turn it into something that isn't just slop. This has been true for programming as well as art, but slightly different usecases.

I will never understand the cope that people tell that you should be the one using AI instead of fearing it. Like outside of selling their own product to people, what does it achieve? You using AI will make you create AI stuff or AI service, but that AI service can just as well be done by the AI itself. Writing prompts is career path shorter then being left behind, because the only thing you are doing is being a conduit between AI and customer/boss/company system. Why should I pay some shmuck to write image prompts when I can just get an AI agent to do it for them? Its still AI image at the end of the day, and prompt engineering is for the most part just learning how to get output that you personally like and imagined rather then getting something objectively good. And the image thing was just easy to understand example, why pay prompt engineer that does not have some long term experience with the company code to prompt when I can just get agent to do that if I want AI generated code. Same with diagnosis and law stuff, like if the chatbot is better then lawyer and doctor then why bother paying them? When you use AI to do most of your work you lose the skills that make you valuable for the remaining parts of the work, like figuring out edge cases.

Basically prompt trannies are very temporary job since as AI advances it becomes easier and easier to use, and also more autonomous. People who don't use AI will at least last little longer because significant portions of the population are getting more technophobic thanks to AI slop on internet, and especially the younger people.

If you actually try out using these things you'd realize there's more to it than "prompt engineering" or whatever.
It's a productivity multiplier for specialists, not a replacement for them.
The argument in favor of learning LLMs isn't that a non-specialist can outperform a specialist (that's a techbro cope), it's that a specialist who knows how to use these tools will outperform one that doesn't.

I don't disagree with you on any of those points, anon, but having something that can quickly generate you some boilerplate examples to help you familiarize yourself with the code libraries you're working with is extremely helpful. I think the difference between vibe coding and using LLMs to assist your coding is if you treat it like a real coder or just a quick reference for finding boilerplate. Vibe coders don't understand the code the LLM generates and that's why they're retards, not because they use the LLMs in general.

Like what >>106110669 said. In case of vibe coding you will very quickly lose your skill of coding if you don't practice self restraint. Sure you will never be in a situation where you need to calculate large numbers and wont have calculator, but wide use of calculators has eroded people's skill in calculating large numbers. And while not being able to multiply or divide several digit numbers quickly isn't an issue even for people who do math for their job LLMs can to certain extent do anything text related. Like some faggot from 2010 who just learned about the concept of AGI could call LLM an stupid AGI because if you throw any text at it it will figure out smart sounding answer that may or may not be true. So unlike calculator which is eroding just your large digit multiplication skills, LLMs could erode your critical thinking skills if used as a crutch.

Even Gape can't say no to banksters. Payment processors and banks don't want to deal with fraud involving adult content, i.e. when Ralph uses his debit card to get Brazzers, and he's careless so his dcn/pin end up in the hands of other people and it creates a headache to get the money back because the payee is frequently having their account closed or frozen, adult sites in general tend to be sketchy.

the funny thing about this post is that its true
Back when the printing press was invented the quality of books sharply declined
Previously books were colored and decorated by illuminators with stuff like lapis lazuli powder, and had all sorts of drawings on them.
After the press they just became boring black and white sheets of characters
It took hundreds of years for automated methods to beat hand made bookcraft.
