I never backup anything. I just buy electronics that I don't believe will shit the bed any time soon and use them until it's time for a new one. No cloud storage, no local backups, just winging it

NAS, external hard drives for cold storage, cloud services for offsite.
You know, things normal jobhavers have so they don't get fired.

important stuff is encrypted and goes on google drive and my porn hoard is on a series of WD 12TB drives. I think I'm up to 4 or 5 now and am running out of space so I'm hoping for a sale soon.

Four cheap sata 500gb-1tb HDDs, can be 5400RPM variety, paired in RAID1 configuration, one is what you use constantly, the other is a backup.
