AI is just a one-off invention, like the light bulb.

The federal reserve isn't trying to make more money by firing all the people, they actually want people to keep their jobs. Every single MBA cunt in the country has no idea how to run a company other than borrowing cheap money and firing people so they're desperate for lower interest rates.

the basic concept of the lightbulb is responsible for widespread electrification, the entire consumer electronics market (can't invent the diode or television without artifical light), entire fields of physics (can't observe the electron without the cathode ray tube, can't understand EMR without the xray/radios), the entire computer industry (can't do lithography or create a monitor without artificial light), and so on.
In fact, the light bulb is almost universally used to symbolise a game-changing idea or even the very act of invention

>you can now write your retarded useless emails faster and in better English (nobody cares anyway)
>you can now pretend that you understand the summary of the document (instead of pretending that you read it fully)
>you can now shit out retarded code faster (and work 2 hours a day instead of 4 hours a day)
>you can now buy a walking toy robot that presumably one day will be able to pick up your socks so that your wife can be an even more useless bitch that does nothing all day
amazing achievements so far

Or maybe they just don't want society to collapse faster when it starts getting filled with jobless people.

It's not like light bulbs made workers more productive and the economy actually run for the half the day that it didn't before.

i think at this point it really doesn't matter. We are evolving as a civilization (earth) to the point where we view money fundamentally different from any other time in history. A lot of people are still stuck in the past believing old ways of economics are valid still. Those people will have to change or they will be left behind like every other time new technology and thinking comes about.
