Kinda like what Linus Torvalds just did to Hans Reiser.

ReiserFS made Linux on the data centre.
I saw it happen.

Linux would have failed and SunOS would have won were it not for the Russian project ReiserFS3.

Before Reiser, Linux had Ext2: a piece of shit Fat32-like file system that lost data on every power surge. Completely useless for anything, databases, laptops, the rack.

After the Russian contribution straight from Moscow (much like Linus himself: where his parents met): Linux was no longer a toy.
Took them 5 years of straight coding to make that FS.

The Russians should kill him for dishonouring them.
