I liked the show but the dialog for this scene was quite cringe. It was important for viewers to understand that KDE guy was actually technically minded and not just another clueless executive repeating shit like 'we will build a gooey in visual basic' that they don't understand. And it established a base upon which the relationship between the two characters started. Given the importance to the show, it is unfortunate that the scene's dialog was terrible.

The non-technical dialog will set the tone for normalfags, that's how they'll gain context on what the technical dialog meant. The realness extent of the technical dialog is irrelevant to them, so it might as well be believable to the knowledgeable.
