Never had an interview? Be mentally prepared to drop spaghetti. At least that was my first time. But just ask many questions. Ask about the company briefly. What team you will work in. What kind of work you will do. Ask why they need someone with this kind of experience.
As you take note of these answers, you'll get a better picture of what and who they really want for the job. And then you can better pitch yourself at the end of the interview. But it'll take practice. Also dodge questions like "why are you the perfect candidate for this job". Say that you want to park that question for later, since you want to know more about the job requirements first. In any case good luck anon

Prepare.

>go to company website about us section a write down three things you learned about them.

Bonus points if you’re able to mention one during the interview if it fits what’s being discussed. You want them to see that you read about them. It tells them you’re serious about their role, too.

> Make a list of ten questions to ask them

This is what most people screw up. When the interviewer asks if you have any questions, you’re not supposed to say no. No is what you think might be the right answer but it’s not. It’s you being given the steering wheel of the interview and an opportunity to set yourself apart.

Ideas:
- How long have you been here? (the interviewer to XYZ company?)
- What do you like about working here?
- Why is this position open?
- What does a typical day here look like?
- What would make a candidate stand out in this role?
- What are the next steps in your interview process?

> Write Thank You emails to everyone you interviewed with and send them within 24 hours of interview conclusion. It’s really just a simple Thank You, callback to something you talked with them about and that you look forward to hearing from them soon.

Thank you for interviewing be today for the Aunt Cass position at XYZ Company. I appreciated you noticing when she said in the video she’d only do this once that it was a coping mechanism for her as well. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

use chat gpt as a reverse interview, ask it questions that you would expect your interviewer would make (some companies have multiple phases, and even give you some pointers of what to expect, you can also use that), make sure to learn a thing or two notable things by heart (ie, i usually mention one or two exploits i learned from watching htb guides), also say you used to do this and that but you sort of no longer remember too much about it.
