the moment i've been dreading has finally come... my trusty ol Logitech G700 has finally started to double click on left click. for months now it's been wearing down, with the index finger trigger buttons starting to double input first, but i was able to get by reassigning those to the side buttons. with left click now double clicking, it's literally game over. i had this mouse for 13 years. ordered it from NCIX back when that was a thing, and not just a convenient backroom for Linus Tech Tips to operate out of. paid $80 leaf bucks. it's really sickening that an equivilant wireless mouse will now cost you $200-250. i'm not paying that much, so i guess i'll have to settle for something wired. is g502 the play? i just need index finger and side buttons for things like close tab/window, fullscreen on/off and copy paste. what mouse does /g/ of 2025 recommend?
>>106117819 (OP)i swore off logitech many years ago when i had my 2nd g pro wireless RMA. never again will i use a mouse that doesn't use optical switches. why bother with a mechanism that can fail? Now the key is finding one with optical switches on all parts
>>106117819 (OP)G502 is pretty decent as an office mouse.
Mine never had any functional issues but the coating wears out pretty quick.

Solder some new switches instead of being worthless. The Omron switches Logitech uses nowadays are even worse. Also I wish they made something like the G700 that didn't have such atrocious battery life.
>>106118207Do you have any experience with Kailh White Sword? I'm thinking of getting one, but I don't know how it is compared to the other Kailh.
