Did the exact thing with my router/server PC. Too bad those cases don't come with USB3 ports, although someone crafty could customise it.

Why are you putting anything in a case at all? I put the motherboard on a shelf, PSU next to it. All you need is just some PCIe riser cables. Sharpie over all the LEDs. You're golden. Aint nobody gonna steal the whole thing. I also have long sata cables so you hang them off the wall across the room.

Where do you live where people steal desktop PCs?
