People freaked out when Apple removed 3.5mm jack from their new products. But now no one seems to care about this and SD card slot. Was this a genius move by Apple?

My phone doesn't have a jack but it has a built in DAC. The worst consequence of this is that depending on your phone brand you either need a cheap adapter or an expensive one with a built in DAC. I don't mind using the adapter so much. It's everything else that's retarded.

They removed the headphone jack because they want you using bluetooth earbuds. This is needed for something called heterodyning inside your skull cavity, a bluetooth source works better than the field created by a speaker itself.

Normies will listen to this but I just told you the truth. Please wake up.

The stupid part was lying about why they did it.
If true, it means that phone tech is actually given to them by a smarter race of aliens.
It would mean samsung and lg tech is far above appleโ€™s levelโ€ฆ prob true.

Because smartphones are the most mainstream tech product so you can really get away almost with anything since majority of users don't have any standards and loyal to a brand no matter what.

I bought a 256GB phone when upgrading away from a phone with expandable storage to one without it. If I had gone with a 128GB I'd be complaining.
And guess what? That's exactly why they got rid of it. So you buy the more expensive storage tier. And people don't complain because the solution that you'll always get hit with will always be "stop being poor" or being brand loyalists who think companies are your friends where any courageous (consumer unfriendly) business decision = good

My 256gb phone was cheap and I already see phones on the upper end of budget phones getting 512gb. I have less reason to care about lack of expandable storage than ever. I expect in a few years I won't need to bother making lossy encodes of FLAC files to put on my phone. But my use case isn't everyone else's. There are probably guys out there who want to record a bunch of 4k videos to their phone.

My phone has both a microSD and a 3.5mm jack. This is because wireless earbud are just bombs waiting to explode and deafen you, and I like to keep my pictures across all devices without sending them to the cloud like a faggot.

It was because SD storage is still slow shit. The new SD Express standard that debuted with the Switch 2 is pretty great though. Iโ€™m kinda wondering if I should wait on buying a MacBook to get it. Iโ€™ll probably get one now anyway though.

>heterodyning
I've only ever seen this word once and that was in a webcomic. I don't know what that means, but I remember looking it up and it had something to do with sound and maybe frequency modulation?
Are you implying that those wireless pieces of shit are dangerous for human health because of how they play sound?

I don't like them because they're a hassle to charge and easily get lost so not my problem, but still - it's good to know.

To add onto what people said about pushing their bluetooth products to make more money (which most retards happily agreed to), when they removed the jack the "reason" was because the phone was too thin to support one. Of course, this is more apple BS, my iphone 15 is thicker than my S10e, but doesn't have a jack like the S10e does. Ask any normie and they might even get belligerent with you as to why you should switch to bluetooth earbuds and that they don't need a jack.

It's not Apple only doing this, Android is as well. People kept complaining the battery wasn't enough, so they removed the least useful spec being the 3.5mm jack to allow more room for battery capacity yet people are now complaining over a 3.5mm jack over battery this time. Make up your fucking mind you niggers.

The audiophool community was adamant about bypassing any and all 3.5mm outputs on portable devices in the 2000s. People even resorted to carrying around huge DACs strapped to their iPods. Apple was merely doing what people told them to do. And now the audiophools complain?
