There's nothing wrong with online applications, the problem is jeets and other races of dishonest scammers.

The jeets take over the hiring process of companies
the jeets hire only their own, but how to hide this basic religious and social practice?
they only list jobs with unrealistic abilities given the wages
then their fellow jeets just lie on the resumes being the liars of the lying races
if a white person applies then the jeets will inspect and detect lies
so a white person isn't allowed to lie but the jeet lies
and that's how a less qualified jeet gets a job over a more qualified white man

That means there's something wrong with online applications. It can't handle spamming but spamming increases the likelihood someone will respond so people (jeets) will spam.

This problem is caused by a trillion underqualified retards spamming resumes! Actually, hiring managers never fucking hire for the qualifications they ask for so that's exactly the correct thing to do!

I do not know a single person it actually has worked for. Everyone says this. "It definitely works just not for me." Everyone at my last company was an intern or came in via a friend or recruiter. Everyone at my current job is pretty much a contractor who came in via a recruiter.

The only places cold applications work are startups that are too small to even have HR departments and you're emailing the CEO/tech lead directly.

What is your definition of interesting? Tips on how to get a job? How the landscape is changing? If so, from my experience, recruiters reach out to me on LinkedIn. If recruiters are not reaching out because you are a recent graduate, for example, then reach out to leadership such as director and VP levels are companies asking for entry level roles or available positions.

I got interviewed for Amazon the semester before I graduated and 3 out of the 4 interviewers were Indian. Recruiter told me I didn't get it because I failed to answer what function overloading was, granted it's a simple thing I should've known, but majority of my experience at that point was in C or higher level languages, not C++ and java.
I just found it odd they failed me based off of one small thing when I nailed everything else.

All of this shit is obsolete and only exists due to inertia. IBM already fired most of their HR and replaced them with their Watsonx agents - so far no problems. There are also predictive algorithms that can assess human outcome probabilities better than any human, so you will make fewer mistakes by just trusting the output. This applies not just to work, but to personal matters (e.g. with the right training data you can already predict the success of a marriage better than human judgement).
The inevitable future of humanity is auto-assignment. You will deploy your personal agent swarm to negotiate with the agents of every employer in the world to find the best possible job for your personal skills and interests. No application or interview - you just show up and clock in. By the same process you will auto-buy/rent an ideal home, be introduced to the most compatible group of people in your new city and get an AI-assigned gf. A lot of people will drag their feet with this, because it puts them out of their current job, but there is no way they can possibly compete with data-driven optimization.

Did work in this sector and went non-military route. If you want to get in:

1. Do it fast. A lot of Americans filter themselves out through drug use and as long as weed is illegal at top level, it is a lot less competition.

2. Apply for a cleared job for the government. Gov pays shit but they place a priority on getting you through the process. Its a year long min backlog depending on the level before it even starts which is why gov doesn't even try to get people who run to become contractor.

3. Clean is good but you also need to collect info on friends and family. This is actually pretty hard if your direct family has strained relations or you're a neet who doesn't interact with a lot of people.

Assuming you got in, yea they would ship you off be it gov or contractor.

It is the preprocessor. It is the part of the standard, but it's not C language proper. The only true thing is that to be considered C compiler it needs support for macros, but it doesn't mean macros are C. It runs at different stage of the compilation. It's basically a second language that comes with C toolchain which runs and modifies the source before it is compiled. It's not C code. Macros would be the part of a language if it was the code in the language itself like in Zig or Lisp.

Also I didn't say I'm professional C programmer, wtf is your point? But one doesn't need to be C programmer in particular to know basic fucking things about C. You are retard here.

That doesn't mean anything. As I said before it's part of the standard, but it is not part of the C language. It's a distinct thing which comes with the toolchain and is not a part of the compiler. Toolchain consist of the preprocessor, compiler, linker, assembler and some other things. Preprocessor is not a part of the compiler for C language. One can make it a part of the compiler, but it stills runs as a translation step before the tokenization happens. It doesn't share the syntax and semantics of the C language therefore it's not part of the language.

Got my last 2 engineering jobs via LinkedIn 2021 and 2022 respectively. I hop back on now and every posting has 1k+ applicants within a few days. Are people just botting? Not to mention most of the metrics say 40-50% + applicants have a masters.
Thinking of just fully switching off LinkedIn.

Indeed is unsuable at this point. Ukraine and lgbt flags, lazy job posts using their broken overengineered format. I've never even made a LinkedIn account. For blue-collar failures like myself, AI presents a rare opportunity to break a system designed for people with no backbone

They're paid the same as most local workers. Ruling out cost, the only other prevailing factor would be work ethic.

> To ensure that U.S. workers wages are not being undercut, H-1B employers must pay at least the “prevailing wage,” the average wage paid to similar workers in the same geographic area, though most employers pay more. In 2023, the median wage for H-1B workers was $118,000, on par with the 90th percentile ($121,000) of all U.S. wages.

actually, it is leverage, the ability to hold the h1b over the workers' heads to have more control than they'd otherwise have

and such a poor choice of stats, not even normalizing the dollar amount within each industry, sus.

This. You aren't complaining and asking for raises when your employer has you by the balls like this. I know because I was in that situation.

>Give resume

Now how hard is that
>NoOOOooOOOoOOO, YOU CANT DO IT THAT WAY.
And that, along with your smelly axe wound, is why you will never be employable.

I tried to do that 12 times before giving up. Then I got job via internet and email.

>walk into random office
>door is locked
>nobody comes when trying everything

>walk into random office
>ask staff if they have a role open
>people look you like you are lost or retarded
>boss comes and explains with serious negative attitude how you should send email like other people
>now you definitely are not considered even if you would send that email

>walk into random office
>ask staff if they have a role open
>boss comes, is really confused who you are and why you don't send email like other people
>boss says to come to his room
>give resume
>boss has your resume in his hands, say something like "very nice" and starts talking about unrelated things in his life
>for the next 15 minutes you can't talk and you are now his therapist
>says he has to go somewhere and you thank him for his time and leave

This always happened. 99,99% of the offices have locked doors and don't even answer to door bell or other things. If you get inside, people think you are brain damaged, lost or asshole. Sometimes they say to your face that you are asshole or just stupid and "what you think why we have that process for everyone, just send email like other people" and after that there is 100% change you don't get job even if you would send the email afterwards.

It's very front-loaded. The most evident sites (LinkedIn, Indeed, Monster etc) are dominated by the richest corpos forcing their postings front and center everywhere and burying everything else. This means they absorb the large majority of applications since most people are stupid and passive and just click on the first things that show up.

To find the gold you have to go off the grid. Utilize other sites that are more web-crawlers, go through companies and apply directly from their site. Some of these places are starving for exposure and your resume will stick out.

god I remember going to one of those when the fed laid off a bunch of workers. Was the most pointless waste of time as every person I talked to said to check their job board or look online. Or better yet treated it like a high school job fair, talking about weeks of training then years of no advancement to people in their 30's and 40's
