You ever noticed how hard freedesktop tries to copy the macOS experience? Here are some examples:
>uses reverse-domain-notstion everywhere (e.g. org.freedesktop.systemd1)
>systemd was/is a blatant copy of launchd minus the plist (XML) configs
>gsettings is basically macOS' defaults preference database
>pipewire is extremly similar to CoreAudio
Why are they trying to imitate macOS so goddamn much? I am aware that every exec at the Linux Foundation uses a Mac, but holy shit, this is bad. Almost zero innovation, yet the Linux desktop is still as dysfunctional as ever. It's not like Apple's OS is designed well, in fact, it's quite shit with massive amounts of technical debt. And the best thing about their retardation is, that you're forced to use it.
