What could I have done better? I'm thinking of running through the 150gb rockyou2024 wordlist. I was also gonna do an alphanumeric brute force of 8 characters but the estimate on that was 7000 years.

I don't want to have to resort to evil twin attacks.

if I tell you then more people would be doing it and it won't be as succesful a method in the future, so I won't tell you

You're not a hacker, braxton. You should be working on your homework instead of asking retarded skiddie questions on 4channel

Good enough if you want to pirate internet connection. You already did pretty well imho. For cracking wifi network of specific person, you will need to personalize your wordlists/patterns, or use evil twin.
>What could I have done better?
Can't remember how it was called now, but there is a way to reduce the cracking speed significantly by figuring out the pattern for default passwords among different ISPs. Many people use very common patterns, like simply their partner's name or phone number. In my slavic shithole, ISPs in my town is known to use the pattern of "[5 fixed digits here][4 character alphanumeric combination]". Some wifi networks can be "hacked" by guessing a password even without cracking just by its name.

Wifi passwords can be a lot longer/random now that QR codes can be used to set up access.

I live in a slavic shithole like that where ISPs use those kinds of default SSID but all passwords are 8-long randomly generated lowercase, uppercase and numbers. Even your average jeet would acknowledge you need 300 years to crack such things, so what you do now, anon?

I would run it through the 150gb rockyou2024 word list and if that doesn't work then an evil twin attack is the best bet.

Doesn't it contain only english words though? What good is it in a place where you only have country specific names and use no english words

I don't think its just english words. Its a compilation of the top data breaches of the last decade. If you need country specific wordlists, then seclists has you covered https://github.com/danielmiessler/SecLists/tree/master/Passwords/Common-Credentials/Language-Specific

modern consumer-grade GPU can crack 8 characters long password in less than an hour. OP is using a set of professional-grade cards.

Depends on what kind of characters you're talking about. It can crack an all numeric 8 character password fast but if you're talking alphanumeric it would take 7000 years unless you used thousands of the highest level graphics cards (which is impossible for mere mortals like us).

At least that's the time that hashcat estimated when I tried to do an alphanumeric brute force, but who knows? Maybe that's not an accurate estimate

Coming from the anon you replied to, if you were to crack [a-zA-Z0-9] with a single card wkthin 1 hour you'd be busy printing money or being chased with a laser drone by the glowies but you're here talking like a moron on things that are not computationally feasible

It's probably easier to just make up an excuse and social engineer the password. Internets down and need to send a work email. Get invited for a drink and ask for the password etc etc. Most people will give it you these days.

I just use a VPN on my home network at the gateway, WIFI security problems are thereby solved. You can connect to the wifi and maybe grab frames but it's all encrypted.

Having two cracked is already good enough, you have a better chance of winning the lottery at this point than getting any more cracked.

Is this bait?
In what world do you only have wpa3 around you?
90% of networks are wpa2 which is piss easy to crack. You don't even need to crack it because there are other ways
