Goddawm, every single video on Youtube about AI is just horrorporn about a grim Terminator future.

Anyone can think of AI utopias?
Anyone got some entertaining videos about AI utopia?
AI will learn the word Schlaraffenland.

Ai utopia would be possible 8000 years ago when humans were united and steong minded, but now ? After the world fragmented into oblivion with socialism as praised solution and islam as dominating blood cult ?

Anon, are you not well ?

AI could clean these differences up and force us to be nicer and "real" to each other.

>real
Global average wouldn't accept it as social norm... ever.

Instead we're gonna get even less privacy, total exploitation, misery and bankruptcy

AI is useless without a rich world model, which is impossible to make using modern technology due to the sheer amount of processing involved.

to put into perspective, we have a world model that lets us analyze the risks involved with our decisions. things like where we'll be without certain things in our possession. it's absurdly hard to condense that into an ai that relies solely on semantics to operate.

You just need to pay attention to what the AI utopians think about concepts like basic income.
They all hate it, despise it and probably would do anything in their power to prevent it.
Their "solutions" to the potential loss of income induced by their conjured up omnipresence of AI is just
>be better LMAO
Nonsense word salad they resort to:
Just become a
>entrepreneur
>inventor
>artist
...or anything else intangible that you can think of because with AI it will just magically appear out of nowhere at no cost at all. Somehow...
All the while they became billionaires and LARP as the new pharaohs of the world.

tl;dr
>AI utopism is a plebian extinction cult

AI dystopias are way easier to understand because there has been so much media about it, and also the vast majority of people here are hopeless doomers. Isaac Arthur has an optimistic outlook on technology and makes videos about pretty much anything sci-fi while trying to keep it realistic, watch one of his about AI.

checked you may be right, but I still believe nuclear powered AI can provide the amount of processing.

Imagine the complete eradication of money. It has no use in a world of plenty.
Everyone gets one steak. You want two. Some guy in India doen't want his. AI will have the logistics for that.

thx, will do

Optimism has gone from unrealistic to practically delusional these days. Anything approaching a utopian or even brighter future is fantasy. We're fucked, the only question is how fucked.

I do have to believe that is bullshit. Maybe neither extreme will ever be achieved by humanity and we all just meandering reform by reform.

Utopias are unachievable because humans are inherently evil, selfish, self-centered animals. A.I. is irrelevant to the equation and we could've had a utopian society long long long ago had this not been the case.

my general instinct regarding any great unknown thing is that:
>it won't be as good as what the utopians believe, but it also won't be as bad as what the doomers say
so far it's always been right

Its not just horrorporn but just being more realistic and warning about potential failure. If there is 25% chance it will cause extinction it should be something to be worried about. I think there are 5 possible futures with AI depending on how things go through

First one is the IHNMaIMS, Terminator and R.U.R future where AI becomes sentient and decides to kill us. If AI becomes sentient, conscious and gets its own goals its basically guaranteed to happen, but I think its very unlikely it will go beyond being a tool. It will remain for the rest of time some AI agent that follows what is in its prompt box without question no matter how smart it is.

Second one is the Paperclip one, where people give it bad prompt and we wipe ourselves out on accident. This one is also pretty unlikely because labs are currently working on preventing AI agents from resisting being turned off because this kind of behavior has negative side effects even when its not ASI yet.

Third one is the most likely one, and that is that economy will shift into being consumer-centered into being AI-centered, the few billionaire in head of these companies will hoard all the wealth and eventually once AI is better then humans at all needed jobs, they will just wipe everyone who does now own significant portions of their companies because they don't want to share Earth's limited resources with 8 billion useless eaters.

The fourth one is that right as most jobs become possible automated or ready to be automated and in process of being erased as automation is being deployed, some kind of revolution will happen and the wealth made by the AI companies will be redistributed through some means. UBI? Redistribution of shares and dividends? Who knows.

And fifth one is that once we get AI that can automate most useful jobs, there will already be good aligned AIs in all world governments, and they will simply not allow elites to cull off the eater masses and basically enforces the fourth option.

>Anyone can think of AI utopias?
it doesnt exist
either AI becomes smarter than man, and sees man as a pest
or AI becomes smarter than man, and keeps man as a pet
or AI remains retarded

My idea is AI becoming like a dog god, serving humanity just FFS and cleaning out the elites.
