Yeah on of the things about the old Internet is people didn't know what the next big thing was going to be so you kinda got a head start. You develop anything new and interesting these days and every big tech firm has an army of devs copying your shit and competing with you early as fuck. Look how chatgpt flew under the radar and once they deployed literally everyone has an ai/llm within a few months. The best way is probably to come up with a new way to scrap data and sell it to the military these days.

Only thing I can see is focusing on execution. Learn how to do this better, more efficiently, with all of the possible tooling at your disposal. There are endless companies out there but most of them are rotten and running a junk product, so there is an attack angle to build something more lightweight, functional, and cost efficient. So what I've been doing is kind of meandering around checking out different spaces and what the competitors are in those. The real impasse is business knowledge. It's hard to lone wolf it unless you understand the user side of it very well so you can handle your own specs/requirements on the fly.
