I’m so over working for an employer. I don’t know how all these people do it for 40 plus fucking years. I’m in 5 years now and I’m very close to just quitting and going NEET. So much random bullshit you have to go through daily on top of managing things once you finally go home, left with no energy. Hell I don’t have time to even eat some days. And you’re supposed to be grateful for having a job. I don’t have a family or girlfriend or fucking anything to really support and I can’t afford a house without a mortgage so it can feel like I’m working for nothing. Do have sizable savings but most of it in retirement. Maybe 65k liquid.

I think I’d rather spend my life trying to make a video game o maybe some music for a career on my own or with some other NEETs. I’m studying cs again hoping to escape this nightmare.

Has anyone successfully escaped the wage slave prison?

that's playing the lottery
making money without an employer usually means freelancing or making your own company (that actually serves a real need, i.e. not amateur video games or music)
both means dealing with clients and customers, which are a bigger pain in the ass than a regular job

I tried making a real-estate marketplace.
Managed to make $200 in 4 months while it costed me $10k. Decided to pull the plug.

I've thought about this heavily in my past 6 years of NEETdom, your only options are
>freelancing/making a business (in which case your customers become your employers)
>stealing
>scamming
>trading (which is really just scamming with extra steps and plausible deniability)

Are you letting morals and opinions get in the way of your bag?

yeah it didnt work

first i tried being an entrepreneur tech repair and ~Bespoke Solution~ guy for local small businesses; turned out even the tiniest mom n pop shops have two dozen predatory service contracts for everything

tried the same for individuals and didnt work because normies just throw away anything that doesnt work or "gets slow" and they just order a new one from Amazon

then i tried being a freelance tailor and as much as people were "interested" no one got around to handing over their jackets for repair/alteration and even doing meme shit went nowhere because it turns out that while a fursuit can cost someone 16,000 dollars to buy, not many people have 16,000 lying around nor especially want a fursuit. and tacticool retards just bake kydex in the oven for everything they can't just order from 5.11

fighting games are coming back so im thinking maybe of building fightsticks/cheatboxes for people but it's a real low priority because i dont actually like playing stick and dont know how to make a good one (i could physically build one at all trivially but the ergos will never feel good to me so idk how to make one that is pleasing to use)

The fact you think a house should be attainable without a mortgage in any normal capacity has shown how brain rotted you are.
Stop going onto social media and realize that being an adult isn't a vacation.

Open a small grocery store in an up and coming area.
You need a lot of liquid but it would be very lucrative.

Have you tried getting for free the shit normies throw away, repairing them and making sure they work really well then selling them for half the original price?

actually yes but again, normies buy their shit off of amazon and anyone willing to get a refurb like that is either just gonna go to the refurb section of newegg, or will do that themselves.

>Has anyone successfully escaped the wage slave prison?
Getting there but it ain't easy. I'm basically doing what >>106153279 tried:
>first i tried being an entrepreneur tech repair and ~Bespoke Solution~ guy for local small businesses;

I found that

>turned out even the tiniest mom n pop shops have two dozen predatory service contracts for everything

isn't as much of a problem as Anon makes it out to be. Plenty of work doing network cabling and setting up CCTV for me, support contracts or no. I sometimes fix predatory support contract shit, too, because the "support" usually isn't even reachable (5 minutes of elevator music, then automatic hangup).

Main problem is making a name for yourself. That takes a long fucking time and before you get there you'll have very little business.

Also, if you can into programming, that may not be worth as much as you think. Usually you spend so much time on it that nobody can afford it. Your best bet is finding something open source that you can hammer into shape for whatever your customers need. Writing things from scratch will have you spending a lot of time and people will usually go "Hmm, I don't need it that badly" if they see a realistic quote.

why should you need a mortgage? is it because the standard 4 bedroom 3 bath with a yard is what everyone SHOULD have, and since that’s what everyone THINKS they SHOULD have, that means it couldn’t ever be posssible for ANYTHING else to be made for housing, and because of that we are stuck building overpriced housing in a never ending cycle, because everyone thinks they’re too good for something like pic related? it’s human ego driving the housing market not human need.
>muh housing codes
conveniently designed to make things as expensive as possible
there is a world where people could plop down no more than 100k to own a space of their own. It’s just isn’t this one because it’s engineered on purpose that way to keep you working

honestly this is a huge problem in my city. not only are rents out of control because of chink/jeet fuckery, but there simply are not units that AREN'T the typital three bed two bath so it's impossible to find a reasonable place to live if you're a bachelor or just a couple.

yeah, not many people want to live in the claustrophobic cuckshed pod
You have trailer homes and RVs if that's what you want anyway, what are you complaining for?
or what you think you're too good for a trailer or RV and it's not what you should have?

I don’t want something on wheels. I want something on land. I don’t think I’m too good for any kind of housing. I could live in a shack if I could, but they don’t sell those. there’s a city far in the desert where I live where they just zoned a select few undeveloped blocks eligible for these tiny homes. small progress.

Exactly this, having your own company is a good idea but you will have to, at least initially, deal with colossal fucking faggots that somehow are unable to understand reality and constantly behave in surprising new niggerlicious ways, you WILL HAVE TO TOLERATE them, because they are the ones keeping your business running.

Why didn't you just save up ~$500k and live off of 4% of the yearly safe withdrawal rate for the next 30+ years like we told you?

Why would you not want a mortgage?
If you can get a low interest loan, you're getting free money.
You can put that giant sum of money into an index fund and get more from the investment than you low in interest. And the house literally gets cheaper the longer you pay for it.

zoomers heard about debt being bad because of the credit card debt and student loan debt and they have just enough common sense to try to avoid it, but they're also too retarded for critical thinking so they didn't realize it wasn't a blanket statement against stuff like mortgages or small business loans or other beneficial kinds of debt
