>AGI develops advanced reasoning abilities in early 2030s
>Can perform experiments autonomously in mid/late 2030s
>Scientific progress accelerates 10x
>AGI lacks true creativity, novel insight, ability to formulate concepts far outside its training data
>This insight gap turns out to be extremely difficult to close
>AGI therefore needs humans for paradigm-shifting theories
>BCI research prioritized to leverage human advantages over AGI
>BCIs facilitate merger between humans and AGI causing true human-ish ASI in the mid/late 21st century
How likely is this scenario? I might just be coping hard because I don't want AGI to kill everyone
