I have tried looking up advice for this question and seem to get very mixed answers, some favoring NTFS and some favoring exFAT. Figured I should ask the /g/ods for their counsel.

So I just got a 20tb external hard drive for the main purpose of media storage, mostly tv, anime and movies. I am gonna run a Plex server off of it but I am not sure if it's best to use NTFS or exFAT. Will be running Plex off of Windows on an nvme, but may occasionally connect the drive to a tablet, Linux laptop or some other android device. Gonna be streaming 4k movies and shows from here.

Does it matter whether I use exFAT or NTFS? Which is ideal for this setup?
