Why is it that everything about computers and technology culture-wise started going wrong, when CRT monitors were phased out?

CRT monitors were phased out in very early 00s so I'd say you're wrong.
It started around 2008 when Facebook hit 100 million users and started to grow exponentially.

There were still many CRT's around in use until 2012-2013 or something, until they seemingly suddenly completely disappeared.

I noticed this too. Even looking at old pictures you can see everyone was happier and healthier.

Yeah well most people don't replace something like a computer monitor every 5 years, they keep them for a decade plus. Especially for normies who would only use a pc for email or web browsing when required.
