Despite being home to some of the world's biggest tech companies, Silicon Valley seems so boring.

Now compare with Shenzhen. A place with flying drones doing food delivery, advanced rail networks, facial recognition technology on every street corner, AI software built into local shops and restaurants, and monumental buildings with futuristic designs and LEDs.

Nothing you described about Shenzhen is a positive except the rail network. The bay area has the BART system and waymo, which is fine.

If you want to actually make a case, point out the cheap availability of electronics hardware.

>Now compare with Shenzhen.
Ok

>A place with flying drones doing food delivery
And how are these drones going to deliver the food inside these huge buildings? Windows?

>advanced rail networks
That's literally every first world country. It's just Americans who are backwards due to niggers and whites being cucks to them.

>facial recognition technology on every street corner
So more invigilation? Why is this a good thing?

>AI software built into local shops and restaurants
What for? Are they no longer giving menus for you to choose from and you have to talk with retarded LLM to order shit?

>and monumental buildings with futuristic designs and LEDs.
So more light pollution? It doesn't even look remotely as good as Tokyo.

Dumb chink

idk shenzen does seem pretty cool. meanwhile in muttistan you buy everything online because allowing jewish property owners to price gouge every individual and business on leases is more important than allowing for brick and mortar businesses to exist.

None of those things are really an accurate portrayal of shenzhen, but the main reason for silicon valley being so ass now is because it's both under a jewish corporate stranglehold and values parisiting more than building hardware at scale, a reletively dirty expensive and ocassionally morally grey thing that is nevertheless imperative for electronics to come into existance. Just like the rest of the country. Meanwhile Shenzhen has many busy factories swapping wares, shucking parts (sometimes with child labor, which is not okay btw), and hoarding knockoffs, clones, and scratchouts. Every white label in existance for 30 cents to get slapped on the doodad of your choice.
Both are essentially capitalistic tech fueled dystopias but one at least makes stuff and thus has alot more excess toys.
Silicon Valley used to be a a lot more like that, minus the child labor, and with lots of suburban housing that was nice to raise a family in. Sadly no more. Now it's alot of shit on the streets. Silicon Balley used to make alot of the electronics for space missions, now the only thing over the moon about it is rent.

Anything that requires me to install an app is a no-go. If a store wants to use AI/LLMs, it better be passive and behind the scenes.

yes, that much is obvious, you blithering moron. many businesses in the US are moving toward 'online only' or 'reduced footprint' models because businesses overwhelmingly lease property rather than buy it. businesses are raked over the coals by landlords with absurd lease costs, because real estate valuations are horrifically inflated by excess credit availability. brick mortar and dying everywhere. see also my original post >>106161196

Because Westerners don't find living in an overpopulated bug dystopia appealing. Luckily Westerners have more living space available in their nations compared to Chinese.

Rich Chinese elites love to buy houses with big parks and shit. The palaces of China's 1% are all green gardens with none of this dystopian pseudocyberpunk architecture the ordinary Chinese have to live in.

Pic rel is Huawei's campus for China's 1% elite.
All bug coders (that don't leave the country altogether) aspire to be here, they'd rather live in a fake European city and not in overcrowded dystopian Shenzhen.

Deep blue cities have a strange kind of luddite lumpenprole underclass that controls local politics. While the high flying businessmen and yuppies above them drive the future of tech and industry they're on the ground whining about, demanding gibs, demanding lax standards, being homeless, crying about cops, shit like that. So you get this absurd dichotomy, advanced economy, but retarded majority population and a government full of stupid fat coons.

Not really. Living in a house is looked frowned upon in Chi-nah.
Even my boss and I live in slav shithole moved from nice house in suburbs to very expensive high rise apartment. I understand that it's different in burgerland and rich people tend to own those gigantic kitschy houses rather than apartments.

Commuting to a building like that from cramped housing is a nightmare, as people say.
But since Chinese people often live at the office, they probably only have LED ray-traced beautiful dreams.

NTA, but most of the world enjoys greenery, European style architecture and not being dependent on your car to do anything.
If I were to choose between living in >>106161922 or >>106161188 (OP), the former is obvious choice.
