of course it's gonna last hundreds of years if you undervolt it

How many lumens is that? 300?

you can do this with any lightbulb by running it under its rated voltage. let's see how long that bulb lasts outputting a usable amount of light.

No, it's retarded.
You can "make" a 100,000 hours lightbulb by using a normal 1,000 hours lightbulb using a voltage reduced by 20%, of course the end result will be wasting thousand of dollars due to lower efficiency.

Do I have to point out that the first light bulbs were problematic for the bulb industry leaders because they were lasting too long?
They all went to a fancy restaurant and found a solution.
Look for it yourself, it's true.

So this is the power of undervolting

>30 minute video of a faggot pontificating
I was able to skip to like 3 different timestamps in less than 10 seconds and basically figure out what that fat fuck was trying to get at.
Apparently it's cheaper to run a lamp hot so that it produces more light for the same amount of energy, the bulb needs to be replaced more often, but the energy savings make up for it.

Duro-test used to make krypton-filled incandescents which had a 10,000 hr or more rating. What was the magic trick? You gave it 75w or electricity and got 45w of light. They were wasteful and had a yellow tint but for places like traffic lights where it's costly to change the bulb, it was an OK tradeoff.
The best lightbulb ever was the sylvania halogen non-eco version, where 100w was really 100w. Those last a long time, and have great light quality. Shame they're long discontinued.

those are led though, not filament
