What I hear is each one of these does good with certain image sources but webp seems to not just replace jpeg but GIF and PNG. Which Jpeg XL does as well but since Webp is much older it seems to have more browser software support.

AVIF seems to be the oddball out of all image formats. Very poor lossless compression that can sometimes end up bigger than PNG.
