People only coped with IPS
When something came out that was better of course people jumped ship.
Only autists have some fixation with IPS, everyone else treated it as "least shit"

I work long hours at the computer, OLED hurts my eyes and will eventually burn in

HDR only really works when you can change the individual brightness down to the pixel level.

I have an IPS and an OLED monitor
OP it just looks better overall, unless there's a lot of light in your room.
Also HDR is not a thing on IPS that's enjoyable
I keep the IPS for work and the OLED for mostly everything else. It's just a different thing altogether.
>>106165974
fuck do you mean
Of all displays I had in the last 15 years, a 60hz philips IPS monitor fucked with my eyes so much I had to sell the thing to some faggot
OLED is not harder on the eyes at all

i just got new 4k IPS because:
i will not tolerate any kind of burn-in
i will not lower brightness
i will not hide taskbar
i will not turn off lights
i will keep static windows open at all times
i will keep my monitor for 10 years before replacing it

retards complaining about oled burn in reminds me of the people who said ssds would never catch on because they don't last long enough. if you turn your monitor off when you're not using it then you won't have any problems.

I haven't gotten an OLED monitor because I haven't found 4k 27 inch one with as many ports as my 27 inch 4K Dell UltraSharp one, that's all

HDR looks amazing on OLED. I was kind of impressed by the death stranding 2 hdr effect when watching this on my phone. I'm not paying $1500 for an oled monitor though.

I am actually employed and don't gayme. I need a display for work, not gayming. Desktop elements would burn in the OLED. And my eyes would be red and dry after long OLED hours. IPS solves this.

We live in a market economy and oled degrades faster. So basically it sells more cause it breaks faster. Better sales means better product (except it doesn't)

...does literally nothing
why do oled fags not even understand the simple concept that burn in is cumulative?
a screensaver is literally the worst thing you can do to mitigate burn in because it does the complete opposite, unless that screensaver is a completely black screen.
