Sup anons. I want to switch to Linux in the distant future, but there is one problem, I am quite stupid. Therefore, Arch and Gentoo are not for me, + I want at least some stability. What can you say about Endeavuor? Is it a normal distribution?

GNU+Gentoo is easy, and both Arch and Gentoo have incredible wikis to help you out.

Itโ€™s pretty easy to use, no real setup required. If you you play video games youโ€™ll probably have an easier time with something like nobara or Ubuntu. The main reason to go with endevour is unironically the cool wallpapers and nothing else. Beyond that itโ€™s more or less a normal arch based distro.

Plenty stupid people use Arch. Endeavour is just Arch plus an installer. If you want a normal distro just pick a Fedora variant.

if you're not tinkertranny and just a cumsumer, then just use bazzite. it's immutable, and therefore, unbreakable and stable.

If you feel like you're too stupid to use Arch, then don't use it. Nothing wrong with using Mint, Ubuntu or whatever. But if you do want to use Endeavour then yeah, it's basically Arch with a gui installer, and some pre-installed programs.
>stability
All distributions are "stable" as long as you don't install random packages from a chinese website as the root user. If you are paranoid about your system breaking, I'd recommend using a btrfs filesystem along with Timeshift for snaphots. Good luck space cowboy.

Just start with mint or any of the arch based gaming distros like cachy or bazzite. After a couple of months you'll know what you want and probably have also learned enough to make a decision for yourself. This is coming from a dumb fuck (myself) I went from mint to debian and haven't had any issues I couldn't fix.
Remember to atleast try more than one different desktop environments. (KDE, Mate, Gnome etc)

I had experience with Mint. I liked sitting on cinnamon. But the Mint distribution is quite simple. It is not for nothing that it is called a distribution "for grandmothers and office workers".

Endeavor doesn't have a GUI for updating or installing programs so you'll have to learn pacman.

Also, it has the welcome application installed, so you can update your mirrors there and update your system from there too.

Ok retard I'm just saying you wouldn't install EndeavorOS on your grandma's computer and expect her to figure out how to install shit by herself. And that's exactly what 99% of Windows users are, grandmas who don't actually know how to use a computer, so if there's no big install button they they'll get mad and call linux shit and come here with some copypasta about tinkertrannies.

You're wrong.
They're X & GNOME users.

I've attached proof to my post, you don't need to slander the windows users for being grandmas (their crimes are worse) as the windows users have distinct crimes of their own.

Just set aside your ego and run Ubuntu like any new Linux user should, i know you feel like you are a "pro" computer user but your Windows experience means jack shit on another OS.

EOS is just Arch with sane defaults, I use it and it's comfy. But you will have a lot to learn no matter which distro you choose, especially on a rolling release one like EOS/Arch

If you want rocm to work without wanting to shoot yourself you have pretty much two options, Ubuntu or some variation of Arch. Don't bother with anything else.

One known for being very stable is Linux Mint, also very easy to use transitioning from Windows. I've been interested in PikaOS or Bazzite for my daily use computer. Pika is debian based, Bazzite is fedora based from what I understand.

I got all paranoid and techy one so dual booted my machine with mint and put tails on a USB and use mint and no one I talk to uses the Internet to communicate. So just kept on using windows. I would consider sticking something on an old laptop to extend its life I'm music producer so don't really use old laptops.
