Amazons issue was they basically just made android worse. The firephone was pretty cool, I still have one lying around, but it’s just android covered in amazon advertising and doesn’t work with normal android apps without a lot of fiddling.
If amazon for some reason started making regular computers all they would do is fork Ubuntu and quadruple the amazon inside.
