Faraday cage is only solution to have freedom. You just buy and use almost anything in this faraday cage room and it is more private, more secure, more libre etc. than anything out there would be without it. Your FSF certified hardware still has read only proprietary chips with full low level access to your hardware and software. Doesn't matter if you use GNU Boot, "libre" hardware, Qubes OS, Replicant OS etc. because you always have those proprietary chips there and that hardware doesn't work without it.

You just build faraday cage room, have LibreCMC router in that room and then route one ethernet cable outside. You use internet only through one temporary isolated compartment that routes the internet through Tor and vpn inside of that you bought with monero.

You could also have unsecure T400 with GNU Boot and Qubes, maybe even Replicant or GrapheneOS phone that you keep in a separated faraday cage outside of that room and only use it for normie tier activity, still trying to maximize your privacy.

This room is solution to all our privacy and security issues. You can play GTA VI, run local AI models and do anything you like with latest most powerful hardware if you just keep those in this room. And still have better freedom, privacy and security than those FSF approved devices.

I don't see how this solves the backdoored chip problem if you're still connecting to the internet.

Or better, you keep the whole "internet thing" outside of that room completely.

>copper ethernet running into FDX cage
>shiggy diggy
Seriously. NEVER RUN COPPER DATA. Run conditioned power from outside , re-condition power inside the cage, have arbitrary random loads to prevent power consumption analysis and NEVER run copper data. Just convert everything to fiber. Prevents picking up tempest emissions from inside and bringing them outside. It’s not about the data being sent over it. It’s the cable itself acting as an antenna.

You do know that a mesh with the with smaller than the wavelength is enough, yes? You don't need a full metal container.

AI slop answer. Faraday cage is not useless/ironic:

Faraday Cage Purpose:
>Blocks all electromagnetic signals (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, RF signals) from entering/exiting the cage, preventing wireless attacks or data leaks via electromagnetic side-channels (e.g., TEMPEST attacks).
>Since your computer lacks wireless features, this protects against potential physical-layer exploits, like unintended RF emissions that could be intercepted.

Fiber Optic Advantages:
>Non-conductive material: Fiber optics transmit data via light, not electricity, so they don't act as "antennas" that compromise the Faraday cage. Example signal integrity:
>Signal Leakage≈0(for fiber traversing the cage)
>Signal Leakage≈0(for fiber traversing the cage)
>Use specially designed feedthroughs to maintain the cage's integrity while passing the cable. Avoid metal connectors or unshielded holes.

Risk Mitigation:
>Without the cage, an attacker could theoretically use electromagnetic methods (e.g., Van Eck phreaking) to compromise even air-gapped systems.
>With the cage and fiber, you isolate the system from wireless threats while allowing controlled internet access via the router (LibreCMC). The router should disable its wireless radios if possible.

Router Configuration:
>Disable wireless radios on the LibreCMC router to ensure no accidental RF leakage.
>Use firewalls/access controls on the router to limit exposure to internet threats.
Cage Design:
>Ensure no gaps exist (e.g., around the fiber feedthrough). Use EMI gaskets/seals.
>Test cage integrity with an RF meter (∼∼60–90 dB attenuation is ideal).

Conclusion: This setup is not stupid—it's a legitimate air-gapped-like solution for high-security environments (e.g., labs handling sensitive data). It blocks electromagnetic threats, and fiber ensures safe external connectivity. Just harden the router and cage design to avoid blind spots.

>electromagnetic methods
Oh yeah there's that. I guess it's useful for that. i just meant that if you're connecting to the internet your faraday cage isn't going to do anything for you since the backdoor chip can just start sending data out. I think faraday cage for computer is kind of overkill but makes sense for phones. You'd want it to be soundproof too just in case.

What is your logic, that NSA doesn't route all your network and gsm traffic through their servers if you don't do that? Holy shit you are brain damaged. You locking the bathroom door in public doesn't mean that you are doing something illegal or weird in there. It is just your right. In white first world countries having freedom is the default. In third world mixed brown black countries like United States of poor, NSA can spy on you and you will be cuckslave forever.

Because there isn't a single phone out there that doesn't have at least one proprietary firmware running in the chip there. Also it is illegal to connect to the GSM network with open source firmware.

my house has a steel frame, meaning it's already a faraday cage
downside is i get zero phone signal inside so have to use wifi calling feature, and guests are always annoyed about it

you retard also need ferromagnetic shielding with high magnetic permeability materials (nickel) to prevent side channel attacks from your HDDs magnetic fields (below 100 kHz)

the NSA firmware on the HDD will spin up and down and encode data this way and send it out of the faraday cage to an receiver outside and overcome the airgap

you need to build a cage with superconducting materials so you can use the meissner effect to be save from glowies

also free MRI scans for niggers
