Yeah, they switched to AMD. Xbox did the same. At least backwards compatibility is guaranteed now.

With that amount of RAM and limited ISA? Nothing significant. See https://gist.github.com/epixoip/ace60d09981be09544fdd35005051505 for something that's easier to setup and doesn't require custom builds and modifications.
