Buy while you can, people will pay good money for the 2010-2015 stuff that is in goodwill today, as long as they can have an office suite, image/video viewer, PDF viewer etc. Windows will be preferred but Linux will enable older machines to be useful as well. Just make sure that you provide an offline turnkey solution because that is what people will want. Backups of wikipedia will be valuable etc.
