The main issue with a majority of UI & Design is it's too uniform nowadays for Black, White, or an in between Silver color. It would not be a bad idea to bring back other colorful design templates into the world of the early 00's especially Baby Blue and Green. MSN Messenger was cool, but sadly Skype has done so much damage to the psyche of the public eye that design has fallen to minimalism mode.
