It looks ok for the aesthetic you are going to, but there are some things you should improve:

โ€“ XP background with macos ui is triggering;
โ€“ The drop shadows you placed are too wide;
โ€“ There are plenty of more interesting shit you could add than "system info";
โ€“ Why does it say "play vs charli" if the game already started?;
โ€“The woman should be bigger. Take a look on how old covers from EGM and other magazines of the early 2000s used the main picture. That way you can remove the duplicate on the top left.

And you should understand that early 2000s internet were an age where people had hope on the future the internet and computers would bring, and people were very experimental with what you could make with computer graphics softwares. Keep that in mind.

It looks cool! But I think adding some extra details overlapping the main figure in the front slightly would work. Also, I think it would help to edit her to look more like her photo was taken in the early 2000s. Look it up like album covers and pictures in general from that time period, try to edit the picture to replicate that style. Also, I actually like the duplicate on the top left, but I just think it needs to be placed on the composition a lil better, and maybe frame it with something, like maybe itโ€™s in a webcam overlay.

looks like something what a media art undergraduate in 2013 listening to oneotrix point never and tom yorke would put on their cargocollective.com website as contemporary new media internet art

because having a macbook made you like an internet artist being able to detach and decontextualize your commodified surroundings in new and exciting ways with glitch art and ios emojis

If you think it's cool, then it's cool. Don't delete Photoshop. Keep creating.

Reminds me of 90's Rave flyers and 2600 Quarterly covers.

Art only has to move one person to be Art. Most of the time that's the Artist.

I do have a BFA so keep on keeping on.

why don't you ask your idol what he thinks of your graphic design skills
maybe he'll fly you out to rhode island on your dime and give you some valuable advice like how to not be funny and how to smoke cigars
