Lynx or ocelot are little felines, it's possible to "force" them to stay with humans (a cat named "savannah" is a good exemple).
Tigers or lions or cheetah are BIG felines, impossible to have them with us like a dog or a cat.
The same with monkeys : you can have a little monkey with you like a marmoset but even MJ with his ape put him in a cage most of the time, gorillas and chimps and all the BIG monkeys : it don't work. They can't handle to stay with us.
I continue: you know the kangaroo ? Marsupials : the same. You can have some of them in your home, but not the BIG ones like kangaroos.
