Kinda. Ghb, roofies, opioids, they all cause nervous system and respiratory depression, which leads to shallow, weak breathing. That's actually why people die from overdose, your body gets so relaxed and numb it forgets to properly save you and make you breath proper, which builds carbon dioxide in your system, which is toxic, and the lack of oxygen to your brain makes brain damage imminent in a matter of minutes. A few more minutes, and it's brain death.
Ghb is particularly dangerous because it's hard to correctly dose individually, and the lower limit of overdose is close to that of the recreational dose. Couple it with natural euphoria, an increased libido, and MDMA-like sensations combined with the memory erasure and short half life in someone's system before its out, it far outclasses roofies as a date rape drug, but more dangerous. But since roofies got more tightly regulated ghb is on the rise.
I personally have no interest in such drugs, the dangers aren't worth it. Classical Psychedelics and coke are all you ever need for a good time and they never fail you. Alcohol is far more dangerous than most of these anyways, no other drug killed more and has been used more for sexual assault.
