you can train with low VRAM but it takes centuries. if you disable checkpointing you need to absolutely destroy resolution (240x240_45 frames) or similar and even that takes like 88GB VRAM
otherwise enable checkpointing and it can drop as low as 30GB thereabouts with 0 offloading
my dataset was like 5-7 tiny clips of mizumizuni so even shit datasets with made up guesswork tagging is fine
I would however suggest one bit of wisdom
musubi tuner loves to strip frames down to 4n+1 (like if you had 48 frames, it'd become 45 since the next 4n+1, 49, is higher than 48), so loop your clips once. this also helps prevent getting stuck on the middle frame (due to dropped frames)
so no more waifus falling asleep on cock

That's 3/4 the time for as far as I can tell exactly the same output.

CausVid strength is low - 0.25.

Video is 61 frames at 12fps and 576x432.

Next I'll probably start knocking steps off of the CausVid gen until I see a difference there, and then probably fiddle with CausVid strength.

You should try using Lightx2v self forcing instead of Causvid. It maintains motion better and has better quality with the speed improvements while running at 4 steps like Causvid. If you are going to stick with Causvid, at least use Causvid V2 that can be used at 1.0 strength without degradation.

Is this doable on a 16gb ram card? I have 16gb VRAM and 16gb ram. I've done a shitload of Pony and Illustrious gens, but never bothered with video yet. I have a ton of pics that are dying for animation, but if its going to melt my GPU to try it, I'll have to settle for watching what you guys come up with. Some good stuff in this thread.

I would ignore the guy telling you to use FusionX because the older recipe is just Causvid and Accvid mixed with style and appearance LoRAs that fuck quality especially in the eyes and change facial appearance. The latest recipe just swaps out Causvid and Accvid for Lightx2v v2. If you do want to test it, just download the recipe version and be aware the Accvid and MPS Reward LoRA are what causes most of the degradation.

Right now it's just Lightx2v v2 and Radial Attention if you use Kijai's nodes. Lightx2v v2 fixes the movement issues that v1 had as well as degrading appearance slightly less.

I don't see anything really egregious with that workflow and the anon that made it pops in here and /g/ every now and then. I'm guessing you might need to adjust the strength of any additional LoRAs you are using. An odd but nice part about Causvid was that while degrading motion, it also degraded the strength of any used LoRAs so badly trained LoRAs had less of an affect on appearance.
