Evisceration is also not immediately fatal, though the target may go into shock and suffer a lot of pain, in this particular case, that's on the list of things that won't "end" the encounter right away.
In a pinch, if it's you being attacked, viciously ramming your entire hand and arm down the animal's throat and beyond may cause sufficient trauma to discourage further attack, while also making it mechanically difficult for the animal to continue biting. You will be injured in the process but you'll have survived by doing something unmistakably metal.
If the animal is attacking someone else, you have a lot more options, but you need to act quickly to preserve the victim's life, and you need to be prepared for the animal to turn on you and bite you. While I wouldn't recommend it, If you're very strong, breaking the animal's neck with a powerful chokehold may be a good way to end the encounter. Again, this requires "unreasonable" levels of force and violence, by which I mean your mind needs to be prepared for the intentional act of killing the dog. You cannot, even in the back of your mind, continue seeking a peaceful resolution where the dog survives. Otherwise, the animal's victim is toast, and you'll end up in one of these videos being described as useless.
Another poster mentioned attempting to inflict a pelvic fracture by hyperextending the animal's legs. This will also require a lot of strength, but does qualify as the type of maiming structural damage that can pacify or kill the dog, if you can pull it off.
If you can keep hold of the animal's hind legs and it releases its victim, you've won. Violently and repeatedly smash the dog into the pavement, a fence, a pole, a big rock, etc. It will try to turn on you and bite you, so keep the dog in motion to minimize its ability to overcome the force of being thrashed.
