These animals don't feel anything at all and are driven by powerful instincts. They are incapable of stopping on their own. You can't scare them or injure them to get them to stop, not even broken bones will stop them.
Only destroying them will stop them. You need to deal maiming structural damage to them to have any chance.
They're agile and strong so your options may be limited, but if you can get your thighs around the dog's body, lock your ankles together and squeeze the dog's ribcage with all your might. You're not trying to hurt it, you're not trying to choke it out, you're trying to destroy its body. You need to break ribs and crush organs using all the force your worthless body can create.
If all you can get is a leg, you hold that leg and you use all your body weight and the strength of your arms to crush it and bust it.

If you can keep hold of the animal's hind legs and it releases its victim, you've won. Violently and repeatedly smash the dog into the pavement, a fence, a pole, a big rock, etc. It will try to turn on you and bite you, so keep the dog in motion to minimize its ability to overcome the force of being thrashed.
