I started the thread with those links and such because I want to encourage more people to try it out. I want to see more animations and animators making stuff; not just more "career" animators or those with a Patreon/Subscribestar sidehustle, but amateurs and hobbyists having fun, dicking around, filling niches, and generally making stuff they want to see more of.
So, try it out and see if you like it. I've been playing with some of the pre-rigged models and started working on a couple of simple test animations and, barring some technical issues, it's been surprisingly fun, so far.

One thing I haven't tried for longer animations, yet, is to do a base loop for the thrusting as one action, then animate more varied movement, like moaning or looking around, separately as another action, then using Blender's NLA editor to layer them on top of each other. I'm assuming that's how most animators handle that.
Does SFM have something like the NLA editor? It's been years since I tried using SFM, so I don't remember.

Thanks. I'm sure a lot of people would love to learn 3D animation so they can make lewd stuff, but don't want to go through the trouble of taking full courses to learn the exagerated cartoony style or do a deep dive into anatomy in order to do that. So, I wanted to help lower the barrier of entry for them to get started.

I'd love to see some of your work, either with the DBD model or older stuff. And, since you've been pracricing, are there any tips or advice you gathered? Like, technical things to pay attention to, good ways to practice, etc.

The one thing I picked up that's stayed with me is to always pay attention to the physics first and let the action do the talking; cause and effect type stuff. Like, I started spacing out the keyframes for the female's torso, neck, and head on the B pose in a loop so that it shows that cascading motion from being thrust into from behind, rather than it hitting all at the same time. I also have been paying attention to where characters put their weight, which is why, even though this is incredibly well animated, this >>29247410 bothers me. What's holding up her right leg? That looks very uncomfortable to hold, especially when dealing with powerful sensations, but the guy's hands are on her head and his legs can't act as a place to rest hers, so....what gives? It feels too contrived for the viewer's benefit, but having her foot be held up by his left thigh would have made more sense to me.

I'm honestly not a good person to get advice from on this. I usually spend a day or two set dressing and editing models, and then chickening out of making the animation. Right now I'm doing daily-ish quick practices. This is usually where I take a webm and use it as reference and animate using models I won't get attached to. Either trying to match the reference or just using it to gauge timing.

My workflow is honestly shit and I haven't managed to finish anything new for a while, so I can't give any advice on that.
Take anything I say with a grain of salt, I usually trial and error my way into getting things done.

For the Sam animation, that's caught my neuron, so it'll be a while before it's done, but that's definitely on the list.

In the meantime, here's the recent practice anims, also a process series. Might help show how ugly things look at the start.

desu i was coming into this thread expecting to see just 3d animations and fapping to them then going to sleep but seeing it's a general thread about animating was something i didn't expect. It kind of makes me want to learn blender again. I did try it 2 years ago and made a few things that came out ok and i was happy about. Then I tried to make nsfw stuff but i just didn't like how it looked at the end. It just looked like shit to me but others liked it (from the comments at least). But i just didnt like how it turned out and deleted everything. I never tried animating i only did stills. Maybe this is sign for me finally give animating a try. Thanks for the useful info in the op, op. I'll definitely give it a look at tomorrow. I hope the thread will still be alive by then. I'm just gonna go to sleep so i can properly focus tomorrow

Honestly, even just the idea of "practice with models you won't get too attached to" is good advice. My first loop was done like that, but then I really wanted to do something with Ms. Pauling and I found myself putting more effort into all the production stuff than into the core animation loop itself, because I wanted it to "look right."

Maybe check out the workflow vid in the OP to see if it gives you any helpful ideas. The guy is aiming it to """beginners""" but is sharing his professional workflow that he used for all his paid jobs.

No problem. And feels free to share any WIPs that you feel like. It looks lile there's a few people ITT who are interested in trying stuff, so it may give some inspiration. But, no pressure, either way.

As stated by others, those look pretty fantastic. You're definitely comveying the core idea well in each loop and nailing the naturalistic look to it.
However, I noticed one issue in most of your loops that could be ironed out: there is a slight "pop" in the body motion of one or both characters as the animation begins to loop. It's not nearly as bad as Blueberg's, but I think it's a similar issue (vid rel).

No problem. And, if you want a short "workflow" to test the waters with, not to guarantee any quality, then try a simple loop of whatever you want by setting up an A pose, then a B pose, and then repeating the A pose. Only add more in-between poses if the sequence requires more complex motion. Use the Dopesheet to manage your keyframes and only switch to the Graph Editor to tweak values and interpolation.
>Bonus tips you may or may not already know
-The period on the numpad will focus the viewport on whatever you have selected
-Delete unnecessary animation channels to make things look cleaner. You can figure this out by going into the Graph Editor, clicking Normalize, and looking for any channels that are totally flat, meaning no change in value.
-If you use hotkeys to work with your model (g, s, r), tap X/Y/Z to work on that axis only. Tap it twice to switch from Global/Local axis. Shift+X/etc. to exclude that axis (tapping twice still switches Global/Local).
-Autokeying can be enabled in the Timeline Editor. This will make a keyframe every time you change something. While this can save a step, manually keying will always be a good option.
For the animation side, make sure to pay attention to physics >>29247767 and avoid the weird "popping" or "snapping" that happens in most of Blueberg's animations (vid rel).

I'd recommend skipping the rigging at first, unless it's something that just interests you. If you want to jump into animation, pick a model from Smutba.se that doesn't require an addon to get it to work. To learn animation, you could probably realistically get the basics in about 20min to 1hr.
The main things you'd need to know are how to move your view in the viewport, move and rotate objects, switch between Object Mode and Pose Mode, set keyframes, and render out a shot in EEVEE (the quicker render engine in Blender).
If you have any issues with importing models or anything else, you can ask here, especially if a quick web search doesn't seem to answer it.

For practice, I use https://studio.blender.org/training/animation-fundamentals/5d69ab4dea6789db11ee65d1/ . The course is paywalled but the assets are free. I just took Sky, created a duplicate, shrank and enlarged some bones, locked the scale value of the bones so I couldn't undo it when clicking alt s, and applied a new material to create a female mannequin.

Maybe workflow wasn't the right term, it's more that I get focused on an animation project to obsession and then burn myself out before I can finish.

Good eye on that, I need to figure out what's causing it. I think it might be that I'm not letting motion carry through past the beginning and end of the loop. In Blueberg's case, maybe it's that some of his start and end keys are using vector interpolation instead of auto-clamped or automatic.

Yesterday - Before playblasts
I found the models, tested them, and adjusted them. Sam's model had some rigging errors on the mouth so I fixed that.
I then customized the Male models to better fit my idea. Adjusting the shaders, and finding some clown masks from xnalara customized.
I pulled the table and floor from a resident evil scene. I also did a bit of lighting to see what it might look like.

From there, I created the basic pose, and created some parent modifiers. In the Sam rig, I created 3 bones, a table bone, a hammer bone, and a knife bone. I then parented Sam's hips and hands to the table, that way when the table jutters, Sam will move with the table. Since I plan to have the knife sticking in the table, I parented that to the table bone. I then parented the males hand to the knife bone.
Today - Day 1 playblasts
I switched on the Simplify plugin, and used Proxify+ to generate low poly meshes to try to improve viewport performance. I also set Playback to Skip Frames. I also use the playblast addon to create quick renders from the viewport.

In the animation, there's Sam, and 3 males. Only the Sam and the main male matter for this loop, so I turned the other two off.

Since the male is the dominant force, I animated his torso first. Since I plan to have the table move, I animated that next. I then animate Sam's torso, and from there I go back and forth up the chain of bones, trying to apply realistic motion. I'd create the general keyframes, and then open the Graph editor to adjust the interpolation between the keys. I continue this until I get what I think looks like a good loop.


I didn't animate the hands as I plan to turn this loop into an NLA track, and then create an overlapping track to add character animation to them. I can't vouch for the addon as I haven't used it recently, but it shows the idea

To get an idea of how this will look in a more finished state, I switched back the models to the high poly ones, and playblasted the Rendered view. Not perfect quality, but good enough to see how it will look.

I added some quick face animation to Sam so that it wouldn't be distracting. I'll replace these when I get to that stage.

The next steps are

* Time out how and when Main, Fast, and Finish should each be

Get yourself checked for "executive dysfunction".
Generally being lazy comes with not wanting to do something. If you want to do it but can't, that's not laziness.

Chances are you don't have it but getting yourself checked is a good idea just in case. Especially if your country pays you back some of the cost.

If you don't enjoy rigging and weight painting you can upload your (humanoid) model to mixamo and it will automatically rig it for you.

In my experience it works shockingly well. I only had to fix one or two tiny weight painting issues and had a fully rigged model.

I used a very low poly model I made myself and I've only ever tried it once so your experience may vary.

Friendly reminder to animators in general: if you want to put a creampie in your animation, but don't know how/don't want to deal with fluid sims for cum, just add a few slower deep thrusts at the end of your loop followed by a balls-deep pause, and add an audible ejaculation. You don't have to actually show anything, you can get away with the implication of it.

From another video, I learned that if you start another NLA track and make the beginning pose while the track is in Replace mode and then switch it to Combine, it'll break your pose since it's switching between absolute vs relative coordinates. So, if you're doing a blend, make sure the new track is set to Combine before setting any poses.

Well, I tried the NLA tutorial and it works! Too bad there's some issues with Eliza eth's rig and materials, so I could animate her fingers or face and she looked weird when in rendered mode, so this went from being a blowjob test to a super basic paizuri experiment rendered from viewport view.

If you do figure it out, I'd love to know, so I can watch out for it. I've been just copy-pasting the first frame as the last and haven't had an issue, so far. But, I always check the graph editor for any clues if something seems janky. For Blueberg, I can only guess, but he's been doing this for years and not all of his animations have this problem, but most of them do and he somehow hasn't fixed it by now.

I'm using the regular version (not the Doscord one, which I don't know what's supposed to be different about that one) with the latest stable version of Blender and I can't find how to control her fingers without editing the rig. Same with her breasts, actually. She seems to have bones for both fingers and breasts, but no posable controllers for them (and I'm not sure if her breasts support physics or not).

* Select the Rig
* Go to the Data tab, the Skeleton just above the bone
* Expand the Bone Collections
* Uncheck all the Stars next to the bone collections.

You should now see the actual bones you will want to use. The stars next to the bone groups mean "See only this bone group".

The Rig layers in the Item tab should also start working again.

That should fix your issues. After doing that I see both the individual finger bones and the scale drivers, along with the breast bones

Yup. That did it. Thank you, so much. I'm not sure why many people insist on releasing their models for general use and also do weird tweaks or add in a bubch of extra clutter (camera, lights, background, etc.) That make it difficult to work with. At least they're free, I guess. Lol
