I prefer as little artifice as possible... but the truth is that it is all "fake" -- even when the women aren't explicitly scripted to lie, it's not like they're under oath, they still may feel pressure to conform to whatever they think the producer's expectations are, to "give a good audition". also, sometimes even if the interview itself isn't scripted, there's implicit lying in the editing (for instance, cutting out talk about condoms or birth control).
the flip side is that even when it's scripted, when they are amateurs/wannabees you can usually see the real person underneath the facade because they are unpracticed.
all that said, the weirdly candid and truthful (I know this because out of curiosity I tracked down several girls a few years ago and found that they were telling the truth about eg. their occupation, hobbies, even their *names* sometimes) czech casting interviews are my favorite. the little narrative arcs you can create are part of why I sometimes sacrifice clarity/resolution for length in my edits
