>taxpayer burden
not how taxes work. In America we have enough money to pay for any number of social programs or public options. Republicans block them only on ideological grounds. Democrat presidents, the "handout" party, have outperformed Republican presidents economy for the last ~80 years straight.

Unironically yes. Gender dysphoria is a mental health disorder, the only known treatment for it is transitioning. Cosmetic procedures are part of transitioning. You're not against treatments, even taxpayer funded treatments, for ANY other type of mental health condition, yet because you got radicalized by the internet when it decided to politicize this topic, you're suddenly opinionated. Give me a break.
Ideally, we want everyone in society to be both physically and mentally healthy, not for some moral good but rather so they can continue to contribute to society. We have enough "taxpayer money" to fully fund all of these programs without issue, the roadblock is a contrived one. Having social programs to enable poverty stricken people, the mentally ill, etc etc to rise up in society and contribute more ALWAYS benefits the overall economy massively, which means it benefits YOU.
It's really annoying having to live around you low iq people.
