what
>>29448748 says is true and think of it like this, latex is just the rubber shaped and formed into the style of clothing it needs to be while PVC/Vinyl is a fabric layer that's then coated on one side with plastic to give it the shiny appearance
it's typically cheaper than latex and can be a bit more rugged but both will weak out faster from normal use than regular casual clothes if you aren't just putting them on for a photoshoot but actually wearing them in a daily life way. when rubber and latex gets worn out it tends to rip or get a hole in it while PVC tends to shed it's shiny layer in areas where creases happen or where it gets rubbed a lot like your butt area if you sit in PVC pants, the seams also start to bust open and get loose after a while like a pair of really worn out jeans where there can be a hole in the crotch area
i like latex/pvc/leather/wetlook spandex and even neoprene like a diving or wetsuit can be really hot - i tend to not be picky as i find them all attractive and while I do see some latex clothes out in public it's much more common to see pvc and leather during the fall/winter months here in NY than it is latex
