Women have few decent father figures anymore, and because of this have 0 ability to handle confrontation or have any self respect. Hence why when a male friend develops feelings they have no capacity to handle it like an adult and instead REEEE out over it. It also doesnt help that the culture is by and large terminally online and their kneejerk immature reactions are reinforced by over 9000 other dumb shits online.
Men are also to blame to a degree here as well since the older ones allowed women to henpeck them into being completely useless for the last 4 decades and became worthless fathers while the younger ones, also lacking father figures (and kind nurturing mother figures) have no ability to assert themselves respectfully or any ability to have the self respect not to fold themselves into pretzels trying some roundabout strategy to acquire a mate.
