Depends on what your goal is. If you just want to go through the main game mode, choose KK if you like a school setting and Sunshine if you prefer a beach one. If you're gonna do Studio work where you make your own scenes, Sunshine might be better as its Asset Import mod lets you easily import models. Most cards and scenes will work in both.

Sunshine is the upgrade/sequel to normal KK, but due to some bullshit early on and compatibility problems, more people still use the base game. The main difference at glance is the main game itself (school setting vs beach vacation setting), but most people here don't play the main game, they get Sunshine mostly for the small improvements in maker/studio and Sunshine-exclusive plugins.
Also, Sunshine can use most stuff made for base KK (a few mods/plugins being the exception) but the base game needs some extra mods/plugins to make use of Sunshine stuff, and it doesn't always work perfectly.
If you don't plan to share stuff you make extensively, or you only care about the actual game, go Sunshine; else get the base KK.

You can always import your edited texture through Material Editor by changing out the MainTex. This way, you can texture edit your glove even if its in an accessory slot. If you export the item's UV map and overlay it on top of your texture, you'll have an easier time knowing what you have to delete. GIMP is a good free tool for that. Just remember to rescale the overlay so it's the same size as your texture because UV maps export at 4k sizes for some reason, even though your textures aren't at that size.

Creating custom characters is kind of the point of Koikatsu; some of the specific clothing, hair, and accessories you see here are modded, but even the vanilla game offers pretty good variety.

A lot of things can be done just within Koikatsu, but if you're talking about those super accurate cards that look like they're from another game (such as girls from gacha games), most of those are model imports, meaning they're reliant on mods that include those models, and these are usually paywalled.

2. There's a plugin specifically meant to do that so you can transfer your KK creation to something else like Blender. Going from Blender to KK is far more difficult, but that's how you make shit like the super accurate custom characters.

3. and 4. are similar. Many cards you find on Bepis and Pixiv that are released for free will assume you have the Repack, and therefore the HF Patch. Sideloader Mods are extra mods you may or may not find useful. It's not a huge extra download, so grab it just in case you want to play with some of them. Maybe you find X-ray Womb or PNGCaptureSizeModifider useful.

5. If you search for BetterRepack, you'll get the "official" site which offers alternate download links, like Mega and GDrive.

You can get most of your eye shape by just changing the eye angle in the regular UI, where the other eye options are. Use ABMX to make small tweaks to get closer to your desired look. You'll probably only need to adjust the Y offset and Z tilt.

the key to legitimacy is doing the same style over and over

let's say you want to be industrial like anna, then you have to do interpolation style of animating until you are fast enough.
you have to master it, you can't just switch because "my new stuff looks good"
you gotta just do it until you are satisfied

in interpolation, you have to do like 4-8 keyframes, even 4 is not enough sometimes

now to the fast part, it starts with a storyboard

3d is complex product and you gotta have a guide else you might forget the next act

while animating, we might see things too slow and forget what are we supposed to do

so a storyboard is a must
once you pick your style and mastery, a storyboard

the length of making timeline goes from 1 hour to even weeks
