my takeaways from the bakes:
-Best to go with 32-36 epochs (for "1_" datasets). Its a sweetspot without underbaking and overbaking.
-If you train on real imagery, tag with "photorealistic,realistic". You can remove those while genning to get a more 2D look. Or use those for more 2.5+D.
-For chars 30 good images are enough.
-Scenery and backgrounds are harder to bake it than the chars and need al least x3 more repeats (if you have only one image of some scenery/location). Actually forgot to rename scenery dir to "5_" on this bake and baked it with 1_ , so all sceneshots except tentacles sucks (had for images for tentacles/veins ;D ).
-SXDL sucks major ass in 2025, no finetune can redeem it.
My LoRA_Easy_Training_Scripts config takes now 6s/it on 67372a fork, but it was 3s/it before :(

I feel that gens should try to go for that, and even if you want to do a more grounded background at least make it blurry so the weird perspective and nonsense geometry don't stand out as much.

If it comes to default 2d hentai, does it make sense to teach lora on real photographs if you need to teach a model on a certain tag how to draw certain clothes? Or because of this, the quality of the final image can significantly drop in the direction of realism due to lora dataset being to realistic and humanish?

Based on couple of experiments I did, it seems to be true.
For example, -2::sad:: consistently gens girls being cheerful and happy, while neg simply avoids them being sad, they can be also expressionless/neutral etc. It's not always possible to actually "reverse" a concept and most of the time it's effectively just a stronger negative emphasis but yeah. Considering they use T5 and modified Unet their implementation is indeed likely to be different.
