Another strange but cool scenario is what TVTropes calls (Crystal Dragon Jesus) which is primarily about things like the churches in games like Dragon Quest, but is an interesting idea. For instance you could have a fantasy Catholic church with different rules about the fantasy pope or whatever, where perhaps you did a favor for him like saving his life, and as a result he made all the convents personal inns for you, and nuns were available for your pleasure. Also, I haven't seen it yet, but I saw an endcard for the Monster Musume anime about "subspecies" of monstergirls, and the cyclops/monoeye one has 4 girls: the standard species, the buddhist monkette, the blacksmith type, and the backbeard. I remember thinking and still do the second one is a shitty copout.
