Even if they aren't rich at the beginning of the story, they usually end up with enough resources to support 5 pregnant female's at the end (if you go for the harem ending), which definitely isn't cheap...

Nope, most BISHOP's MC are not rich. They are generally just students, teachers, janitors, etc. Many of them are even on the verge of being fired (hence the rape out of frustration). In some titles, they have supernatural power. Sometimes, it is mentioned in the harem ending that the heroines themselves are partly funding the harem lifestyle (either from working or from their family money).
