Because praying is fake and gay, and people do it because they observe the authority of the church, not because it is some core thing that they would do without the church. Satan is only relevant as a punching bag for the church. A being that represents all evil is not real outside of the church because normal people don't think that way. It only exists for the sake of the church's use as a means of control.

Do you think an all seeing and all powerful God didn't know Satan was going to rebel? He knew, he saw, and he put it into motion. God loves all his creations, but he knew evil to be a necessity to place in order to have us glorify the light all the stronger. Satan is a lesson - he was the son who knew what the kingdom of Heaven was like and the glory within it, and he knew what the closest light to God felt like. This is addressed in Paradise Lost. Basically Satan and God both know that even if God did forgive Satan, Satan would just betray him all over again, so there would be no point. God will not forgive him and Satan will not seek his forgiveness.

There have been monks and saints which have prayed for the salvation of demons and Satan. From what I've read, it usually has poor outcomes as it can invite demons into reacting. I recall one saint writing about experiencing a lengthy spiritual struggle after attempting to pray for them.
