You’re just making things up. He never said that, his theory is that the CHG and Iran_N related ancestry in Southern Italy is old and comes from the EBA and later Greek colonists rather than the stance that Southern Italians descend from a mass replacement of 100% Italics by Lebanese slaves of the imperial era happening in only Southern Italy which makes zero sense. It’s also the theory the online anthro community as one poisoned by white nationalist nordicist anti Italian beliefs decided to adopt and tries to prove incessantly with terrible G25 models. He proves his theories by citing papers and it drives armchair geneticists crazy that someone would dare disagree. There are already preprints and samples that vindicate him.

He says there was some later
contribution from the Near East to some extent though. Near East is an incredibly vague term anyway, it’s not useful or precise in a genetic context.
