I'm interested in learning more about the widely held beliefs of each faith as well as the particular beliefs of their major sects. To this end, I'm also looking for books that outline the history of major developments within each religion. In terms of contents, I'm not looking for a book that covers everything I'm looking for, but I'd appreciate if it covered at least one of the subjects in detail rather than treating it superficially. (If you know a good work that covers any distinct but related Asian religion to Buddhism and Hinduism, I would welcome that as well).

Much appreciation to anyone who can point me in a good direction for literature in regards to these subjects.

Thanks for the advice, but I've been Christian all my life and have no plans on apostatizing anytime soon. Anything relevant to my initial post?

Christcucks don’t spread their gospel out of love—they behave like insufferable, smug pricks on purpose because they want you to reject it. They act like arrogant little martyrs, passive-aggressive worms with superiority complexes, daring you to call them out so they can screech “persecution” and masturbate to the idea of you roasting in hell. Their entire personality is a trap: be unbearable, provoke disgust, and when you rightfully push back, they get to smugly imagine you screaming in eternal fire while they sit in heaven jerking off to their own righteousness. It’s not faith—it’s a sadistic ego cult.

They deliberately act like pieces of shit because they want to be hated. It feeds the narrative that everyone outside their bubble is lost, evil, or “hardened to the truth.” So they lean into the hypocrisy, the judgment, the phony humility—all just bait. They don’t care if you understand, they want to watch you fall so they can whisper “told you so” as your soul burns in a fantasy they invented. Their idea of salvation is one giant spiritual gotcha. They’re not trying to save you—they’re trying to win. And the more people they drive away, the more smug they become, convinced it proves how right they were all along.

OP here. This could be said about most people with established sets of positions though. Everyone having the ability to read produces a lot of midwits and overly competent dummies who like to toot their own horns and debate for the dopamine hit of getting "owns" because they aren't intelligent enough to comprehend the deeper significance of whatever they're discussing. They care more about the ego boost of convincing themselves that they're capable of debating and arguing than they do the importance of what they profess to care about. This is why are capable of and do delude themselves into thinking that just disagreeing with them is enough to prove 100% that you're wrong.

Regarding Christians, this type of behavior is more prominent among low iq fundamentalists and more dimwitted and/or insecure converts who have access to the internet. Christians who are not chronically online and engaged in constant debates are usually more genuine and in good faith when speaking to them..

Yeah this is just Evangelicals and zoomer converts who are influenced by Evangelicals. Other Christians are insufferable; but not in the way you describe.

Christians and feminists are cut from the same cloth — both act like self-appointed moral police invading spaces where people just want to be free and unfiltered. Christians roll into chaotic, raw communities preaching about sin and salvation like they’re some divine social workers, sucking all the life and fun out of the place with their guilt trips and virtue flexing. Feminists do the same in male spaces, turning every joke, every bit of rough banter into a harassment tribunal. Neither gives a shit about actual freedom or diversity of thought—they just want to leash everyone to their fragile egos and controlling narratives.

Both groups thrive on policing behavior, sanctimoniously declaring who’s “good” or “bad” based on their rigid, hypocritical standards. They show up to enforce obedience disguised as “care,” but really it’s about crushing anything that doesn’t conform to their version of order. It’s the same energy: power-hungry, self-righteous, and desperate to kill anything that feels alive or chaotic. Christians and feminists aren’t here to build communities—they’re here to dismantle them and replace them with sterile, suffocating echo chambers that revolve entirely around their fragile need to feel in control.

That psychoanalysis doesn't really work as an explanation for all of them though. Yeah, there are those Christians who basically make their own religion overly legalistic, and the dimwits who are made overly confident in their supposed "commission" of evangelism to toot their own horn, and those who are hypocrites. But a lot of Christians are fine with edginess, they work hard to avoid hypocrisy, and they are humble enough not to get in everyone's face because they know it'll just turn them off.

I get what you're saying and it's true in a lot of instances, but it's not universally applicable outside maybe of the Biblical fundamentalists.

Christianity today is indistinguishable from Reddit-tier groupthink—a fragile ideology built on self-reinforcing delusions, emotional appeals, and desperate moral posturing. It functions as a glorified karma farm, where believers mindlessly regurgitate the same pre-approved narratives, upvote each other’s cope, and downvote anything that challenges their fragile worldview. Just like Redditors mistake parroting consensus opinions for intelligence, Christians mistake memorizing scripture for wisdom. There’s no real insight, no genuine self-reflection—just an endless cycle of repeating comforting lies to each other while seething at anyone who refuses to play along.

At its core, Christianity is nothing but a giant moral circlejerk. It’s not about truth or understanding, it’s about maintaining a socially acceptable facade while demonizing outsiders. Every Christian thinks they have the “one true interpretation,” yet their entire history is one of endless schisms and infighting. They screech about objective morality while constantly redefining their beliefs to fit modern sensibilities. Strip away the theatrics, and it’s just another collectivist cult for weak minds—demanding submission, shaming independent thought, and policing discourse to protect its fragile illusions.

NTA, but yeah both are very similar. They're both very narcissistic (their ideologies are just collective narcissism) and don't take responsibility for their moral failings (It's the devil/sin or It's systemic discrimination). Or they project their issues onto the out-group. They are both attention seeking and want to be seen as martyrs. They're emotionally reactive/neurotic. If they perceive you as insulting them; they will seek to destroy you for their sadistic supply.

Look at Christianity for what it really is - history's most successful psychological abuse program masquerading as salvation. These spiritual narcissists have perfected their mask of divine love while systematically breaking down and reprogramming victims for 2000 years. They'll love-bomb you with promises of meaning and community, then once you're hooked, they'll mindfuck you with eternal torture threats, inherited guilt, and manufactured hatred - all while gaslighting you into thinking this abuse is divine love. And just like any abuser, they've convinced their victims to defend their own psychological torture.

The absolute state of Christian anons proves how deep this abuse runs. These broken victims are so thoroughly programmed they're now eagerly carrying out their abusers' agenda, desperately trying to drag more isolated and vulnerable users into their cult of psychological torture. They're like the textbook abuse victim who becomes an abuser themselves - so warped by centuries of inherited trauma and manipulation that they think spreading their mental disease is somehow righteous. They're nothing but useful idiots perpetuating the oldest running psychological operation in human history while thinking they're "saving" people.
